Seating layouts differ by performance or event at The Maryland Theatre. Some shows or events may be GA or, General Admission. Patrons will purchase tickets in advance to guarantee access to the event, but will not be assigned a seat. For General Admission Events, Patrons will have the opportunity to select their seats in person at the event. Often for GA events, the door will open 1 hour to 30 minutes prior to the event start time, to allow ample time for patrons to select a seat. Note, General Admission Tickets may have a section, row, or seat number listed on the physical ticket this is simply to track the number of tickets sold.
Another seating option offered at our Theatre is Reserved Seating. This allows patrons to select their exact seats for the performance or event at the time of purchase. Reserved Seating is assigned by section, row, and seat number. You must remain in the seat allocated to you throughout the event. Upon arrival, The Maryland Theatre ushers and staff will assist patrons in finding their reserved seats. The Maryland Theatre sections are box seats, orchestra (main level), balcony, and VIP Suite. Please note, box seats and balcony seats are only accessible by staircase and do not have accessible seating. For more information on accessible seating options please call us directly at 301-790-2000
Seating layouts may be determined by the promoter, venue, or current government and safety guidelines.

For groups of 10 or more people, please contact our Box Office directly by phone at 301-730-2000. Child Ticketing & Lap Children Policy
Children & infants are welcome at The Maryland Theatre. Please be advised that due to fire code The Theatre cannot provide storage space for strollers, infant seats, or other equipment.
If the accompanying adult would like the child to have their own seat, then they must purchase a ticket. The Maryland Theatre provides complimentary boosters for children who have their own seat.
The Theatre does not place an age limit on lap children. The Maryland Theatre permits one child per adult's lap free of charge, no tickets are required. Any additional children are required to have tickets for their seats. It is the Theatre policy to leave the decision to have a lap child up to the discretion of the parent/guardian with the child unless the show listing details otherwise. Occasionally, performances and events require all persons attending to purchase a ticket.
